Ellyn Gelman began writing at Westport Writers Workshop in 2013. She went on to earn an MFA in creative writing from Fairfield University in 2017. Her work has appeared in Adoptive Families Magazine, Brain, Child Magazine, and NPR’s, This I Believe. Her essay, Fissure, made the top ten in Ireland’s Fish Publishing Short Memoir prize and will appear in The Fish Anthology 2021 with a July release date. Her essay, Lockdown, was chosen for publication in The Midlife Pandemic: Gen X Women on the Brink anthology, which will be released in August 2021.
